Adriano Spatola (Sapjane, Slovenia, 1941 – Parma, Italia, 1988)
Adriano Spatola is a prominent figure in Italian literary culture in the second half of the 20th century. His poetic work and the elaboration of his Total Poetry project led him to rethink certain assumptions of Surrealism and Dadaism. His overall work and his interventions on leading magazines such as “Il Verri” and “Nuova Corrente” and on the magazines he founded – “Bab Ilu” (1962) – or cofounded – “Malebolge” (1964 – 1966), “Tam Tam “(1971 – 1988)  or condirette -” Il Cervo Volante “, at the beginning of the 1980s with Tommaso Cascella, constituted a point of reference for the new generations of poets from the 1960s to the 1980s. He has also been very active through Italian and international experiences presenting himself as “sound / gesture” poet.
