André Chabot (Saint-Étienne, FR, 1941)
André Chabot is a photographer, professor, journalist and designer of French funerary monuments. He is self-described as a “necropolitan wanderer”. His work, since more than thirty years, is dedicated to death. As a great traveler, Chabot has created an impressive photographic memory of graves and cemeteries all over the world. His photographs of funerary monuments, more than 195 000 to date, constitute a unique and cosmopolitan collection in constant development.
