Arthur Aeschbacher

Arthur Aeschbacher (Geneva, Switzerland, 1923). Founder of the Nouveau Réaliste group, Arthur Aeschbacher worked hand in hand with Mimmo Rosella and Jacques Villeglé during the 1950s and 1960s. Using paper as his principal medium, Aeschbacher is an adept of “Creative disintegration”, reinterpreting urban landscapes by stripping and lacerating printed advertisements to reconstruct them as collage.
