Bernhard Luginbühl (Bern, Switzerland, 1929 – Langnau im Emmental, Switzerland, 2011). Bernhard Luginbühl created his first sculptures in 1953, using heavy metal and wrought iron structures to form organic and animal-like complex shapes. Sometimes embellishing his works with fireworks, accentuating their infernal dimension, Luginbühl also prominently practiced illustration, reflecting the recurrent themes his sculptures addressed. In 1998 he opened his own sculpture garden in Mötschwil, Switzerland, today open to the public.
