Esther Ferrer (San Sebastián, Spain, 1937). Esther Ferrer had been a pioneer and one of the foremost representatives of performance art in Spain. In 1967, with Walter Marchetti, Ramon Barce and Juan Hidalgo, Ferrer joined the Zaj performance group related to Fluxus. From 1970 and throughout her extensive career, Ferrer engaged in visual art by way of reworked photographs, installations, images based on the series of prime numbers of Pi, and objects.
