Harry Ruhé

Harry Ruhé (Amsterdam, NL, 1947)
Harry Ruhé is a Dutch gallery owner, collector and publisher who lives and works in Amsterdam. From 1976, he organized exhibitions, installations and performances in Galerie A in Amsterdam with the artists Günter Brus, Lawrence Weiner, Al Hansen, Ben Vautier, Reiner Ruthenbeck, Yoko Ono and Paul Sharits. There was also a department for multiples, artists’ books and gramophone records. In 1981, together with Peter van Beveren, he organized a Fluxus Festival at the AKI in Enschede, featuring Ben Vautier, Dick Higgins, Giuseppe Chiari, Eric Andersen, Takako Saito and others. 22 years later, Sjarel Ex invited him to organize a similar event in Utrecht together with Willem de Ridder. From October 23rd to 26th 2003 took place the Central Fluxus Festival, with an exhibition, lectures, concerts and street actions in the city centre of Utrecht.
