Lino Cringoli (Rome, IT)
Lino Cringoli was born in Sant’Agata di Puglia. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and currently lives and works in Paris. For the realization of his sketches he uses tempera and watercolour. To dry and withdraw the colour from the drawing he uses paper handkerchiefs on which a sort of imprint (texture) appears. Destined to be thrown away, these small pieces of paper soon reveal a real fascination that challenges the artist; this stain/print can ‘lend itself to many manipulations, giving a banal object and everyday aesthetic autonomy capable of giving it a real status of work of art.
