Raša Todosijević (Belgrade, RS, 1945)
Raša Todosijević is one of the main protagonists of the Belgrade group of conceptual artists. He was one of the young artists gathered in Belgrade’s student center, where a new form of artistic expression was conceived, later called Nova umjetnička praksa (The New Artistic Practice). Todosijević demystifies the artistic act itself, ironically connecting it to the act of work and “hand excercises”. During the 1970s, he created a number of collages in which he questioned authority and authorship in the art world, one of his central themes. In 2011 Todosijević represented Serbia at the Venice Biennial. He lives and works in Belgrade.
