Rosanna Chiessi (Littoria, IT, 1934 ‒ Reggio Emilia, IT, 2016)
Rosanna Chiessi was an Italian publisher and gallery owner. After her initial interest in Neorealism as gallery owner of the Il Portico gallery in Reggio Emilia, in the mid-1960s, she came into contact with the experimental ferment of the Neo-Avant-Garde. In 1969 she organized the exhibition “Poesia Visiva” (Visual Poetry) in Reggio Emilia. In 1971 she founded the publishing house Pari Editori & Dispari, producing graphic editions with Italian conceptual artists, visual poets and body artists. In those years she began to organize events, festivals and exhibitions with a particular interest in the Fluxus movement and Viennese Actionism.
