Walter Marchetti (Canosa di Puglia, Italy, 1931 – Milan, Italy, 2015). Self describing his work as “the arsehole of Western music”, Marchetti has been a pioneer in Concrete and Interactive music. Together with Juan Hidalgo, he founded the Zaj group in Spain in 1959 – that he later dismantled, after touring worldwide, in 1993. Several of it’s illustrations and reproduction of it’s original compositions are still a part of Conz’s collection.
